Embracing The Innovation Overload, Data Center World Launches a New Session Format

I don’t know about you, but to me there’s almost too many ideas to digest in the data center industry today.

Can you convert a dormant industrial site into a data center faster than building from scratch?

Can you meet countries’ data sovereignty rules while still operating efficiently?

Should you use AI, machine vision, RFID, and location systems to manage data assets?

As you mix-and-match liquid and air cooling options, is there a better way to model all that complexity?

There are just so many intriguing ideas in this industry – and that’s why we created a new, high-energy conference session format for Data Center World. We’re calling them Spark Sessions, and the concept is that we pack three big ideas, such as the ones above, into one 45-minute session aligned to a conference track.

It’s a fast-paced format that lets attendees sample an idea, hear from the innovator behind it, and decide if it’s something they want to dig deeper into.

Data Center World had a record number of submissions to speak at the conference this year. We’re thrilled to have such interest, but it left us with far more great ideas than spots to showcase them. Plus, we know attendees are hungry for more creative sparks, to hear from more voices. So we created Spark Sessions.

We’re incredibly grateful to the speakers who embraced this format with us. We all know how creating a shorter presentation can be much harder than a long one, and every one of these 15-minute presentations has the depth that could fill a full 45-minute space. These speakers are subject matter experts.

Here are the links to the Spark Sessions for our four tracks: Data Center Build; Colocation, Hyperscale & Cloud Innovation; Emerging IT & Data Center Technologies; and Power Sourcing & Sustainability.

Please check them out, then we hope you’ll register for Data Center World and join us April 20-23 in Washington, D.C.
